Youtube Vids of the Week (11).

This week starts a video that comes from Malasyia (I think). This short but cute video shows about simpler times back when we were kids. This shows what the Facebook was like back at the time, plus the games and toys we had as well. Of course, some things are over-exaggerated, but it makes things  amusing and funny.

This is a 16 minute long short called Strangers Again and it is created by Wong Fu Productions. Today actually is the one year anniversary since this short came out. Its also been one of their most popular shorts yet. The video shows the stages and development of a relationship. From the rise to the fall. I recommend everyone to watch this. You will not regret it one single bit.

The past couple of days, this song has been on repeat for me. I just love it a lot. From the chorus to the bridge. Plus the main dance part is simple to do. And the main line “Stupi tupi love” is one that can get stuck in your head. The artist is a group called Supernova. They’ve been around for a while, but I only heard of them recently. This is their newest song called Stupid Love. (Subs made by Kpopsubs).

This is a cover of Big Bang’s Blue. It was created by Canadian you-tuber Terry He. This is a great cover of his. He is a really good singer. This is in an english version though and not Korean, but noneless, you should listen to it.

Youtube Vids of the Week (10).

So a long while ago, I would post videos every week that intrest me. But then I stopped cause I got bored of them, and a lot of the videos I posted got removed on youtube and stuff. But then I went back to my blog and looked at them. Gave me good memories. So I decided to make another youtube video post. Will be the same as usual. 4 videos for your enjoyment:

So this first video is a clip from the 2012 Korean Drama. Rooftop Prince. I have been watching this show and so far I love it.  Before you watch, i’ll explain a bit. These 4 guys have accidentally time traveled 300 years from the past and have entered into modern Seoul. They don’t know anything about the modern world so this is the result of that. Some other things happen, like them living with a girl, family issues etc etc, but I’ll save that for later. Anyway, enjoy.

I love Wong Fu Productions. They make great shorts and videos. They also do these blog things call Wong Fu Weekends. They’ve done over 70 of them so far. This one is one of my favourites (and its recent too). I remember watching this and crying and laughing and dying.  Ah, it was so funny.

Me and my friend watch this drama. Its a live action Japanese Drama called Ouran High School Host Club. Its based on the magna and anime. This was her favourite part, and she would say “NO SHADOW” to me. And we would then say the phrase. It was really funny. And this drama is also equally funny. I recommend it.

This short cartoon is about a blind girl, who ends up losing hold of her guide dog. She finds a stick and uses it to help get around, while finding her dog. It shows how she perceives the world around her, and how she views it (despite being blind). Its interesting and I find it cute. Plus it can be enjoyed by anyone since there is only one word  spoken in the video (the dog’s name).

 

ah Update. Random things and whatnot.

ah I think its time I gave people an update on this blog.

For one I think this blog will never be as active as it was last year. In fact, I think it’ll almost never be updated again. Maybe like once in a blue moon, but other than that. Don’t expect any new post to come any time soon.

I was planning on though keeping it, for writing my drama reviews, but the last drama I watched was the live version of Ouran High School Host Club, and I have still no review for it. I do not know if I’ll ever write one for it. But my general say on it, is that I really like it. If you like the anime, you will more than likely love the drama too.

Yeah, besides the chance of my drama review to come up again are slim. so dont expect it. I don’t watch a lot of dramas. I mainly now in days, come on here if I need to update the page on “How to Survive Hellokpop Radio” page.  Which isn’t too often. I have plans on creating another post, which explains some info on each of the regular members on here and what they are like.

Well recently, I have been getting really lazy lately. And its not been very good. Recently I’ve been feeling like I don’t wanna do anything anymore. Well sometimes I have urges for things. But many times those urges go away just as fast as they come. Also I have been more calm, relaxed and not as hyper and happy then before. I don’t know if its the weather, or how my body is, but yeah…

I’ve seen to lost motivation for a lot of things. Sure there are some things I want to do, but I dont seem as ambitious or motivated. I’m getting more sluggish. I wish this could go away, but I dont know how exactly… hmm… I guess I feel… lost? Is that the right word… no… I don’t think so.  But yeah, I seem to care less about a lot of things and that isn’t good. I need to be more… idk whats the right word. Nothing seems to make me truly enthusatic. Well some things do make me happy and enthusiastic such as Super Junior, my friends. But I think I need a new spark, a new sense and excitment of things in life. Maybe then I’ll me a better person.

Or maybe I should just stop being lazy? Start to actually care about work and the important things in life? But its hard to do that for a person who is my age, trying to get through this world. It isn’t easy, I’ll tell you that. Well it won’t last forever and things do in the end get better. That I have seen.

I think the only thing I can do right now is just try. Try and see, but for a REALLY shy, introverted person like me trying is a lot difficult. Especially at the state that Im in. Its gonna be uber difficult. When you have to  transition from being lazy for a long time, to having to work hard and that transition is like a hard stone rock, it is very difficult.

Im a weak person, outside and inside. I’m lazy too, so getting stronger will also be difficult. I think I should try and start asking for help. Yeah, thats another thing thats been happening. I haven’t been telling people about anything. Like yeah… when there is something I should tell them, I usually don’t. I’ve been lying and sneaking a lot more lately, and I know that isn’t good. Being honest is the best thing, but at the state that I am, I feel like I can never tell people anything anymore. Is not that I don’t trust them, is just that… I’m too nervous. Its like Im trying to block out as much critism about myself as possible. I don’t know why I am doing this.

I think I’ll stop it at there for now, if I go on any longer… idk. I just… (play’s Beast Soom) I DA NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

lol, ah well yeah. I don’t think I can just wait any longer, I should probably do something about this. The problem is I do not know where to start. I guess i’ll just wait and see, and hope I’ll get better soon.

How to survive the Hellokpop Radio Chat.

Hi.  So, here are some tips to survive the chatroom of hellokpopradio.

First the REAL rules. Cause these are the legit ones. (thanks to Nini for telling me).

First, don’t use foul language and don’t get around the filter by adding extra letters. Hellokpop Radio is for ALL ages. Even though the average age here is 13-21 theres a chance that young kids might come on here.

No Bashing. Please, don’t try to cross it.

Religious/Political discussions are allowed as long as they are respectable.

Were not big fans of trolls, so none of that please. Not even the ones who live under the bridge are allowed. (sorry).

NEVER EVER tick off the moderators.

When a Dj is live and taking requests, be respectful and patient. You’re not the only one requesting songs. The dj’s do their very best to get all of the requests on the playlist. Spamming your request will only get it NOT put on the list and disciplinary action from moderators

Now here are some other rules that we have given to help make your time here a more enjoyable experience.

1. Forget about being normal

Seriously, it is almost NEVER normal at the chatroom. Basically anything can happen and its best to just hold on for the ride. People here talk about anything and everything (almost). Many times were always goofing around and being ridiculous.  Plus when the chat gets active, it can get confusing, but thats normal. We call this “confuzzled”. Also if you do go brb and then come back, you’ll most likely be saying to yourself “What the heck did I walk into?”

2. Spamming has excpetions

Yes, according to the rules you’re NOT allowed to spam. HOWEVER, the people at hellokpopradio and the members have made exceptions to this rule. The only exceptions are when the songs (Wae) Keep Your Head Down (KYHD), Knockout, or any song with lots of repeatable english comes on. This is called (insert name of song) time. The most popular one is Wae Time. Basically when KYHD comes on, you are you type out the english parts of the lyrics in ALL CAPS. The all caps is optional but prefered. Others include Knockout Time, Don’t Don time, Hello Time, Replay time, Fiction time, Mr. Simple time, Etc.

3. Beware of the Can’t English Virus

Confused? Let me explain. This is a warning, but when you do enter the hellokpopradio’s chat, you’ll end up making many typos in your post. This is usually called Can’t English and its basically when you make silly mistakes in your post. If you do it multiple times then this is what we call having the English Virus. So far, the english virus has no cure.

4. People (including you) may get hyper

Sometimes, when you’re on the radio chat, you may start to get hyper. This can be from your favourite song playing, or from someone saying something that you like. Symptoms of hyperness include typing in all caps, spamming the chat with many messages, fangirling, crazyness etc. If you ever do get hyper while on the chat, just remeber to do what Beast saids and breathe. Then chill for a minute and talk about something new. It has been noted that getting hyper on the chat is pretty common, though it depends on the user.

5. Please note of the different timezones.

The people who come to the chatroom are from all over the globe, not just one country. Since people are from different places, there probably living in a different time zone as you, with different daily schedules as well. So it can be a bit difficult to talk to a particular person if there across the planet. Just make sure that you are still getting all of your sleep. Even though its nice to come and relax and chat, health, family, work and school should always come first.

6. Remove http and www.

If you are gonna post links to places outside of the chat room (such as youtube or a kpop – article. Then your gonna have to take out the http and www. This is because if you were to post a full link like: http://www.youtube.com it would come out as **************** .  In order for your link to be affective you would have to put it as youtube.com . I believe this is to prevent trolls from spamming the place with links to like pics of porn and stuff (those that almost never happens thanks to moderators). The only people who can post links WITH the http and www is anyone who is a staff of hellokpop radio such as moderators and DJ’s.

7. Were not a big fan of perves

Seriously, were not. Most of us here honestly don’t like it at all. We kind of find it not very appropriate and gross. If you do act like a perv, you may not be liked upon by the other members. So please, keep it to yourself only.  Though things like hugs, and couples are ok. Remember to keep things PG. (Although this rule is broken many times, so uh yeah, its just a warning, really).

8. Do not ship the hellokpop members without permission.

Ah, honestly, uh ok. Shipping your favourite k-pop celebrities IS allowed. (FYI: Shipping means pairing up two people and calling them a couple) We will let you ship them, but please, for the love of pizza and cookies we ask that you are not to ship the members of hellokpop radio without their permission. Many of us here honestly, find it a bit weird and odd. I know myself. People have shipped me with my good friend Hannah many times, and were both like “NO SHIPPING”. Cause shipping can leave to problems like over-active imaginations, and i don’t even want to know what people think of. Shipping someone bias with them is ok, but ask them first.

9. Everyone must love Dubbie

This is the law. It must not be questioned. You must love and cherish Dubbie. Everyone is to love Dubbie, and that includes you.

10. Carrying a pan or other weapon is useful.

I’m serious when I say this, but there will be people on the chat who may annoy you. Its true. It happens. It can get be hard to get along with everyone. So if you come across a person who seems to be troubling you, or you don’t like what they say, then you can just hit them with a pan. Its easy, and you won’t get in trouble for it. If you don’t like using pans, you can always use other weapons such as mallets or bats. The possibilities are endless.

11. You are free to hug anyone but Ben.

Reason: He hates getting hugs and being hug so just don’t hug him. Ever. Unless you want a bunch of zombies coming to your house and devouring your brains.  As for anyone else on HKPR, there all free game so hug them to your will.

A Drama Review: Hana Kimi

(AKA: Hanazakarino Kimitachie / 花ざかりの君たちへ / For You in Full Blossom / Ikemen paradaisu)

PLZ NOTE: Their are spoliers here!!! Read at your own risk!!!

So a few days before my wisdom teeth surgery I decided to watch the Japanese Drama Hana Kimi. This drama is 12 episodes long with one special in the end. This drama was originally based on a Japanese Manga called Hana Kimi. There is also a Taiwan version of this drama too (I have yet to watch).

This drama stars the lovely actress Maki Horikita (who also stared in a drama I reviewed earlier, Atashinchi no Danshi. In that drama, she played the character, Chisato). In Hana Kimi, she plays the character Mizuki Ashiya.

 

Hana Kimi also stars the handsome actor Shun Oguri (who played the character Hanazawa Rui in Hana Yori Dango, which is another drama I reviewed).  In Hana Kimi, he plays the character, Izumi Sano.

So, whats this drama all about? Well, Mizuki Ashiya  has come  to Japan from California where she was raised. She fell in love with a hopeful high jump hero Izumi Sano, but after an injury happens to his leg, he quits the sport for good (even after his leg fully recovers). As she wants him to go back to the sport once again, she enters the same high school as him. One catch! Its an all boys school. To fit in, she disguises herself. With a short hair, flattened chest and lowered voice, she starts sharing the same room with Sano at the dorm. Living in a dorm at a boys’ high school is hard enough; changing clothes, bathrooms, etc., but things get even more complicated when Shuichi Nakatsu (played by the actor Ikuta Toma) has fancy feelings about Mizuki.

Of course more stuff happens along the way, but we don’t want a lot of spoilers  here now.

This drama is really great! While watching it, it reminded me a lot of the other drama I watch,  Atashinchi no Danshi. Its not just cause of the actress either. Its cause in both dramas there are a lot of comedic events and the character usually act pretty silly and get into funny situations. Their is some differences. One major one is that in Hana Kimi, there is a lot more romantic stuff happening than in Atashinchi no Danshi. Hana Kimi has quite a bit of romance in it. Though its interesting as sometimes the romance is mixed in with the comedy adding for extra laughs.

One thing that interest me is the fact that in the Drama, Hana Kimi, they make it seem like people in the US eat almost nothing but Hamburgers (which is completly false). In one of the scenes where Mizuki is in America with her family, they are having hamburgers and I think they were having it for breakfast?? (correct me if I’m wrong though) Though here we usually eggs or cereal instead. Also hamburgers is mentioned a lot in the drama.

Plus, like most dramas there are those stereotypes that fall in. This includes the love triangle with Mizuki, Sano and Nakatsu. Plus the suspense that makes you want to watch the next episode and the twist.

This drama overall is great! There are lots of comedic parts, but at the same time, there are plenty of romance and suspense to help balance it all out. If your looking for a drama to watch, or are waiting for the next episode of another drama to watch, then I recommend Hana Kimi. My rating for it : 4/5

Oh some more info. Apparently in Japan they are making a remake of this drama. It will have a entire new cast. It will be aired in Japan sometime in July of 2011. Plus there will be a Korean remake of this drama. It is said to be called “Beautiful You” and it is rumored that it will air sometime this summer.

Im Back????

Hmm so it seems, after taking quite a few hiatus months I have returned from the grave of the real world. Mwah hahaha.

Ahem! Anyways, so why the hiatus… Agh, so much busy things have been happening to me in the real world that I barely got some time on here. But thats now slowly may end. Its summertime now, I got more free time too! (Also when I got an email for me to approve of a comment, it jumped me right back into this blogging thing).

So anything new to me, well on Tuesday I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I’m still recovering from it, but its getting better. I’m not in much need of the painkillers now (thank goodness, those gaves side effects). My cheeks are chubby still, but a frozen wash cloth helps the swelling stay down. I can eat some foods such as ice cream, jello, pasta, fries (the non-crispy ones) and croissants and more. As the days go by, I hope to eat more and more solid foods.

Well thats bout it. Oh BTW, I have a drama review to give out soon!!
